Foods in Thailand

Any kind of food can be easily found in Thailand such as Thai food, Western food, Chinese food, Japanese food, Sea food, and food from world wide fast food chains. So visitors don't need to worry about what to eat in Thailand. Food in Thailand can be as cheap as 20 Baht (less that a dollar) per individue dish which can full you up from street side restaurants or as expensive as muti-thousand Baht for series of dishes meal in an extravagant 5 stars restaurants. Food in Thailand is normally clean and safe even food from street side restaurants, however, cooked foods are reccomended.

Thai Foods

Thai Food can be seperate into 2 types, individue dish, and multi-dishes. The individue dish meal is suitable for one person. On another hand, multi-dishes, rich with many complementary dishes served. The multi dishes meal is more suitable for more than one person. Each person has their own rich plate and other dishes are shared, that makes opportunity to taste many dishes. Thai food is normally eaten with fork and spoon.

Local Fruits

Thailand has variety kind of local fruits, Enjoy.

Durian, The King of Fruits. Don't judge its taste from its smell. Creamy taxture and unique sweet taste make its the king of fruits. However bring durian into most transportations and hotels is not allowed.
mangosteen, The Queen of Fruits. One of the most favorite fruit in Thailand.

Water

Tab water in Thailand is clean but unusual to drink, bottled water is cheap and suitable to drink.

Alcohol

Alcohol drink in Thailand can be sold or served only in two limited periods. (11.00-14.00 and 17.00-24.00)
