Koh Kred
Koh Kred (also Koh Kret) is an island in the Chao Phraya River, 20 km north of Bangkok, Thailand, only 30-45 minutes drive from Bangkok. On Koh Kred island live a community of craftmenfamous for their characteristic style of pottery which dates back many centuries. The potteries are known for their fine, red-black glazed surface and intricate design. They are all hand-made piece-by-piece and you can see the method.
Koh Kred is a well-known place for Mon community. You will also find both Thai and Mon treditional foods and desserts, some cannot find anywhere else.
Go to Koh Kret island, you can take ferry at Nonthaburi pier. You can also take a boat from Bangkok.
