Lumphini
Park is a 140-acre park in Bangkok, the largest park in
Bangkok. The park is located just next to Silom business
area, on the junction of Rama IV and Ratchadamri roads.
Lumphini park offers rare open space and grass in the heart
of Bangkok and also contains an artificial lake in the centre
of the park where visitors can rent boats. Lumpini Park
was created in the 1920s by King Rama VI on royal property.
The park was named after the birth place of the Buddha "Lumbini".
There are restaurants within the Lumphini park and plenty
of places to find some refreshment.
